TUESDAY NIGHT MEDITATION CLASS

Weekly classes are offered at The Society of Friends House (Quakers), 60 Lowther Avenue, in Toronto. We begin at 7:15 PM, (no admittance after 7:15 PM), and end at 9:00 PM. Parking is available on the street; please do not use Friends House parking lot.

Classes are offered at no charge; However (Dana) donations are greatly appreciated. To accommodate beginners a brief introduction is provided. We start with breathing exercises (pranayama) and progressive relaxation, followed by a round of guided meditation. Another round of guided meditation follows a brief period of walking or standing meditation. Classes end with a half-hour dharma talk and, time permitting, questions and answers.

To help open the heart and awaken compassion Metta (loving-kindness) meditation is also taught. Metta is an essential practice that helps us integrate the calm insight of Vipassana into our everyday lives.
